Peter Sanborn Place, managed by full-service real estate and property management firm Peabody Properties, recently welcomed participants of the B-SAFE Summer Program, an all-inclusive youth program run by St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Boston’s South End. St. Stephen’s Youth Program partners with over 750 volunteers and 55 partner churches, with a mission to promote equity in education, employment, and opportunity through long-term relationships with young people and their families and communities.
Approximately 55 elementary and middle school-aged children (and 20 teen/adult staff members) traveled to Peter Sanborn Place from the St. Luke’s (Chelsea, MA) summer program. Peter Sanborn Place residents and staff along with volunteers from the Church of the Good Shepherd (Reading, MA) and St. Paul’s Church (Lynnfield, MA) were on-hand to enjoy the intergenerational field trip day, with activities including a professional story-teller, face painting, outdoor games and activities, the Kindness Rock Project Garden, pizza and salad lunch with ice cream sundae bar, and Rainforest Reptiles Traveling Zoo Program.
