Braintree, Brockton, Bedford, MA (May 17, 2024) – The Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, once again participated in the Annual VA2K Walk & Roll, held on May 15.
The event was held at most of the Veterans Administration’s campuses across the nation, including Boston and Brockton, Massachusetts. The VA2K Walk & Roll encourages veterans who are unhoused to recognize the importance of preventative health practices and the benefits of living active lifestyles. It also allows participants to support homeless veterans through voluntary donations of food, clothing, and personal care items. The annual event includes a short two-kilometer (1.24 mile) walk.
As in the past, a number of Peabody employees participated in the event. Residents of Bedford Green Apartments in Bedford and Howard Apartments in Brockton, both of which are permanent supportive housing communities for formerly homeless or at risk homeless veterans managed by Peabody, also joined in the festivities.
“This is a special event every year and we were so glad to once again be able to participate in it,” said Jacquelyn Cope, senior resident services manager with the Peabody Companies’ Peabody Resident Services. “We applaud all who came out to support the far too many homeless veterans of this nation.”
