The Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, is pleased to announce that Sarah Marples of Braintree, Massachusetts, has been promoted to controller.

In this new role, Marples, who previously held the title of assistant controller, is responsible for the direct oversight of both the financial and reporting obligations of each of the Peabody Companies’ divisions. Her focus also centers on regular review and monitoring of the finance and accounting department’s practices, working to assure maximum operational efficiency and productivity, while implementing improvement strategies, as needed.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Marples received both her Master of Science in accounting and master’s in business administration from Northeastern University.  She earned her Certified Public Accountant license in 2008.

Marples joined the Peabody Companies as a property accountant in 2011 and in 2014 was named an accounting manager, followed by a promotion to assistant controller in June of 2016.
