In continued dedication to supporting local, national, and international charitable organizations, the Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, recently participated in a number of volunteer and fundraising activities.
A Peabody team-bonding event held during the firm’s 2022 Annual Meeting saw staff members putting together 177 care packages for Rosie’s Place, a sanctuary for poor and homeless women in Boston.
The Annual Meeting was also the site of a coat drive for A Life Worth Living Corp. with the goal of collecting more than 100 coats, hats, and gloves for children and adults in need this winter. The mission of the 501 C3 Public Charity is to help women transform their minds, revive their spirits, and rebuild their bodies to be their best selves and return to their families and communities being empowered and impactful. This charity was founded by Peabody team member Patricia Juba.
Over the course of the summer, the Peabody Companies held six volunteering events at the Greater Boston Food Bank, with 45 team members participating.
Earlier in the year, team members raised $6,850 via a GoFundMe campaign for CCF Moldova (www.ccfmoldova.org), a child protection organization assisting Ukraine’s refugees with desperately needed meals, shelter, and social/psychological assistance.
“Community engagement – whether locally or for an international cause – provides an opportunity to live our values by volunteering and giving back,” said Melissa Fish-Crane, principal and CEO of The Peabody Companies.
