Braintree and Melrose, MA (November 18, 2025) – The Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, is pleased to announce that Alex DerVartanian of Melrose, Massachusetts, has passed the Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) exam and will soon receive an official designation from the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA).

The SHCM certification was established by NAHMA for management professionals involved with properties developed and operated under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. The SHCM accreditation certifies that DerVartanian has attained the knowledge, experience and competence required to excel in the housing credit property management industry.

DerVartanian, who joined The Peabody Companies in March of 2024, is an occupancy specialist at Fenway Forward in Boston, Massachusetts.
