Braintree, MA and Warwick, RI (April 13, 2021) – Peabody Properties, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, is proud to announce that Property Manager Christina Rahn has passed the Fair Housing Compliance (FHC) examination.
As such, she is among an elite group of industry professionals who specialize in the management of affordable and government-assisted housing. The FHC is an integral component of the National Affordable Housing Management Association’s (NAHMA) most prestigious designation, National Housing Professional (NAHP®).
A resident of Warwick, Rhode Island, Rahn began her career with Peabody Properties in August of 2019. In addition to her FHC designation, she is also a Specialist in Housing Credit Management® (SHCM®) and a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS).
It is fitting that Rahn’s achievement is announced during National Fair Housing Month. This year is the 53rd anniversary of the Fair Housing Act, a landmark law that was signed into effect on April 11, 1968, by President Lyndon B. Johnson. The Fair Housing Act prohibits housing discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, and family status. The Act furthers the beliefs advocated by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the other heroes of the Civil Rights Movement.
