Peabody Properties, Inc., a full-service real estate and property management firm, has been honored with a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, recognizing the Best Places to Work in 2019. The Employees’ Choice Awards program, now in its 11th year, is based solely on the input of employees, who elect to provide feedback on their jobs, work environments and companies on Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites.
This is the second year in a row that Peabody Properties has been honored with a Glassdoor award; they also significantly moved up in their rankings to #10 in the small and medium size company category. (Last year, the organization was ranked #43.) This recognition also comes on the heels of the company being named a Boston Globe Top Place to Work in Massachusetts for the second consecutive year, which was announced last month.
“We are honored to once again be recognized by Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Award,” said Karen Fish-Will, Principal and CEO of Peabody Properties, Inc. “We work hard to ensure that Peabody Properties is a great place to work, and we are so grateful to our team, who directly impact our success. We also appreciate Glassdoor for coordinating and announcing this recognition.”
“We graciously accept this award on behalf of our team members, the real honorees, which is a testament to their efforts, skills and commitment,” added Melissa Fish Crane, Principal and COO of Peabody Properties. “It is our goal to create a rewarding, dynamic and collaborative work culture and, we are so proud to have built a company where people love to work.”
“In today’s tight labor market, job seekers are in the driver’s seat when it comes to deciding where to work and they want to know the inner workings of a company before accepting a new job. To help people find the best jobs and the best companies, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards recognize employers at the top of their game,” said Dr. Andrew Chamberlain, Glassdoor Chief Economist. “For employers, we know that a satisfied and engaged workforce helps drive financial performance. Glassdoor Best Places to Work winners are strategically investing in company culture, career growth opportunities and more, which also serves as a major recruiting advantage.”
On Glassdoor, current and former employees voluntarily and anonymously share insights and opinions about their work environments by sharing a company review, designed to capture a genuine and authentic inside look at what a specific job may be like at a particular company. When sharing a company review on Glassdoor, employees are asked to rate their satisfaction with the company overall, and key workplace factors like career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, senior management and work/life balance. In addition, employees are asked to describe the best reasons to work at their companies as well as any downsides.
Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work were determined using company reviews shared by U.S.-based employees between October 23, 2017 and October 21, 2018. To be considered for the small & medium category, a company must have fewer than 1,000 employees and have received at least 30 ratings across each of the eight workplace attributes from U.S.-based employees during the period of eligibility. The final list is compiled using Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, led by its Economic Research Team, and takes into account quantity, quality and consistency of reviews.
