The Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, proudly announces that Vice President of Administration Doreen Donovan is the 2022 recipient of the New England Affordable Housing Management Association’s Legacy Award.
During the award presentation, held on November 14 at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel in Norwood, Donovan was described as a diligent, organized, effective, empathetic, articulate and nurturing professional, and commended for her commitment to maintaining a high standard of excellence in all business practices.
Donovan, a resident of Saugus, Massachusetts, began her career in the affordable housing industry in 1984, serving as an asset management officer with MassHousing. She continued on the industry path at Corcoran Jennison/CMJ Management Company as the director of operations/vice president of administration and compliance.
Since joining the Peabody Companies in 2012 as vice president of administration, Donovan has been directly responsible for ensuring that all client properties offering affordable rental housing under one or more government assistance programs are leased and operated in strict compliance with program requirements.
“With nearly four decades of industry experience in multifamily asset and property management, Doreen has become a dependable advisor and thought leader in her field, specializing in all aspects concerning the administration of affordable housing assistance,” said Melissa Fish-Crane, principal and CEO of the Peabody Companies. “She is more than deserving of the prestigious NEAHMA Legacy Award; the entire Peabody family congratulates her heartily.”
“Throughout Doreen’s career, she has been someone who can be counted on to do the right thing and do it well in every situation, without ever looking for credit,” added Debbie Piltch, Esq., president, Piltch & Associates, and NAHMA executive council member and NEAHMA trainer. “We are thrilled to be able to recognize Doreen in this way.”
