Braintree, MA (June 20, 2022) – The Peabody Companies, recently unveiled a plaque in honor of Braintree Police K-9 Kitt who was killed in action on June 4, 2021.

The June 14th dedication ceremony and plaque unveiling was held at the rotary of Braintree Village, with opening remarks given by Braintree Mayor Charles Kokoros, followed by comments from Braintree Chief of Police Mark Dubois.

The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of the plaque by Peabody Companies Chief Operating Officer Melissa Fish-Crane. The plaque was donated and installed by A.A. Will Materials and Westerly Construction.

“K-9 Kitt was a 12-year veteran of the Braintree Police Department, whose heroic actions will never be forgotten,” said Fish-Crane.
